Convert JSON to CSV
Export a JSON array of records to CSV you can open in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers. Every key that appears in any item becomes a column.
How to use it
- Open Tools → Convert. JSON → CSV is pre-selected.
- Paste a JSON array of objects, or click Use editor JSON.
- Click Convert, then copy the CSV and paste it into your spreadsheet.
Example
[
{ "id": 1, "name": "Ada", "email": "ada@example.com" },
{ "id": 2, "name": "Linus", "email": "linus@example.com" }
]"id","name","email"
"1","Ada","ada@example.com"
"2","Linus","linus@example.com"Features
All keys become columns
If items have different keys, the CSV includes every column; missing values are left empty.
Safe quoting
All values are quoted and embedded quotes are escaped, so commas in text don't break rows.
CSV to JSON too
Switch the source to CSV to turn a spreadsheet export back into JSON.
Preview as a table
In the editor, select the array and open the Table view to check the data first.
Frequently asked questions
What JSON can be converted to CSV?
A non-empty array of objects, where each object is one row. Flat records work best.
What happens to nested objects?
Nested values are written into a single cell as text. Flatten nested data first if you need separate columns.
Can I convert CSV to JSON?
Yes. Choose CSV as the source format. Numbers, true/false and empty values are converted to the right JSON types.
Is my data uploaded?
No. The conversion runs in your browser.
